It may be Vintage, but it’s still damn good these days.

There’s a nice little microbrewery tucked back behind the Giant shopping center in Leesburg, VA is that is very much worth a second glance. Vintage 50 is an excellent place to grab a brew or take a date. Whether it’s more of a casual date in the bar/lounge, or a bit fancier in the main dining room you’ll definitely walk away wanting to come back. The bar/lounge food isn’t your stereotypical tater skins and mozz sticks, they instead kick it up a notch with Ahi Lillipops, pan fried pierogies, and an array of delectable sandwiches. The dinner menu features an ever changing array of seasonally based dishes that always satisfy the soul by the time you take the last bite.
Now, for the best part: Beer. I love their beer and advocate anyone going to get a sampler so you can try an array of what they serve. And if Old Abominable is on tap then DEFINITELY TRY! It is absolutely delicious IMHO. It has a bit of a sweet finish so I do think it can balance well with a meal, but goes even better just after one.
I freely admit it’s been 5 or so months since my last visit, so the details are a bit fuzzy, but their site (www.vintage50.com) has menus, prices, and a listing of all of their beers. This is a great place to end up after hitting several wineries during the day! Enjoy!
